The same day as the last entry in this blog (Feb 18th) Gabriel rolled over from belly position to back!! He became so very proud of all the praise he got for doing it!
The other day I went to get massage at Dragonfly, an excellent massage place. I selected “Top to Toe” and got 1 hour foot massage at the same time as head, neck, shoulder & arm massage, and all for 240 RMB. It was truly well needed for the twin-mum-always-carrying-the-6.6 kg-big-boy-baby-around. Dragonfly is definitely very nice and in the main room they have water running down the wall and it is dark with candle light. You can really relax in there.
Yesterday I went to the curtain market to pick up our kitchen curtains and I brought the babies in the twin stroller – and that was also an experience! Everywhere people were coming up to me to have a look in the stroller and even if they did not they shouted to the next market booth: “Twins!”, “She is coming with twins”. At least that is my guess. After a couple of turns around the place the excitement became lower. (Thank God!) It is rather difficult to shop when you have to always focus on the stroller. I could not leave the babies home either, since they need to be fed every 3 hours (and Gabriel lately have wanted to eat every 2 hours…sigh) and I was unsure how long it all was going to take.
![]() | Anyway, our kitchen now looks much more nice and warm than before. They curtains are modern looking, dark red with flowers matching the doors. I also bought some bedspreads for two of the beds and had a general look around at the market. I will have to come back many more times! I saw a blanket with bears on, almost exactly the same my sister gave Ella when she was born, but that one was bought in Sweden! |
Today I pampered myself even more and went to get manicure & pedicure at Frangipani. Now I do not only look beautiful, but feel much better since I had some time by myself, without bringing the babies. They where home with Nilda (our ayi), who is great with them (she has four kids of her own back home).
Some other small news: 1) I have gotten curls in my hair – natural curls. I don’t know where they come from but there they are! 2) Every Wednesday the local DNV-Scots are having Scottish dancing, which I have attended once until now, although my part had sort of an Irish twist to it. Sometime soon I will get started with the Irish as well, or at least that is my plan. Today’s plan is to get the computer room in our house organized, so I better start doing that and stop writing. Bye for now!
