I hope this blog will work. At this moment it does not seam to be blocked by Chinese censorship, which some blogs are. You can read yesterday's post here.
Today it's Valentine's day. I have just been to the flower market. We have different markets here in Shanghai: flower market, curtain market, fabric market etc etc. It is very handy when you are looking for something special to have everything in one place. There are also specialised streets downtown, such as the street for bathrooms, where they sell all items for the bathroom, or Reminbi road, where they sell dresses. That is where I will take Hege if she comes here.
I guess the system is similar to the guild (skrå) system we used to have in Sweden in the old days, where every shoemaker for example was located on the same street: Skomakaregatan.
Today I bought an orchid and roses and the other day I bough lilacs! I was so surprised when I realised it was lilac I saw, since it is only February and you back home don't seem them until May. Very nice though and a lovely scent.
